I have laid before Lord Panmure your letter of the 7th ultimo with its enclosures herewith returned from the Lieutenant Governor of Hong Kong respecting the disposal of certain barracks formerly occupied by the Naval Department; and I can acquaint you in reply that Secretary for the Admiralty having ascertained from the Admirals Commanding in Chief on the Station had been directed.
